Protein Pancakes + Waffle Mixes

Pancakes, waffles, and biscuits aren’t exactly what come to mind when you think of “clean eating” – but a variety of higher-protein/lower-carb baking mixes make it easier than ever to put a  healthy twist on old favorites.

P28 High Protein Pancake Mix

Available in Buttermilk Buckwheat + flavors like White Chocolate & Chocolate Coconut

Ingredients include buckwheat flour, oat flour, whey protein isolate, wheat gluten, whole buckwheat flour, sea salt, monkfruit extract.  No artificial sweeteners.

Per 1/3 cup dry mix (makes 2-3 pancakes):  160 calories, 3 grams sat fat, 390 mg sodium, 21 grams carbs, 3 grams fiber, 2-3 grams sugar, 14 grams protein

Per 4” pancake: 70 calories, 8.5 grams carbs, 1.2 grams fiber, 1 gram sugar, 5.5 grams protein

 

Kodiak Power Cakes – Protein Packed Flapjack & Waffle Mix

Ingredients include 100% whole grain wheat flour, 100% whole grain oat flour, wheat protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, milk protein isolate, brown sugar, sea salt…

Per half-cup dry mix (makes 2-3 pancakes): 190 calories, 0 sat fat, 380 mg sodium, 30 grams carbs, 5 grams fiber, 3 grams sugar, 14 grams protein

Per 4” pancake: 75 calories, 12 grams carbs, 2 grams fiber, 1 gram sugar, 5.5 grams protein

 

Birch Benders Protein Pancake Mix (not whole grain, but still good protein content + low in sugar)

Ingredients include wheat flour, whey protein concentrate, evaporated cane juice, vital wheat gluten, eggs

Per half-cup dry mix (makes 2-3 pancakes): 180 calories, 0 sat fat, 300 mg sodium, 26 grams carbs, 1 gram fiber, 6 grams sugar, 16 grams protein

Per 4” pancake: 70 calories, 10.5 grams carbs, 0.5 grams fiber, 2.5 grams sugar, 6.5 grams protein
