I am a 42 year old Mom of 3 boys. I have an 18 month old, a 3 year old, and a 15 year old. My journey with MOXIE began about 7 months ago. I had been jogging, but my lower back was hurting and I was at a point that I couldn’t challenge myself. After hearing the excitement from some friends, even though I was hesitant to try something new, I decided to try MOXIE. It only took about a month of attending MOXIE for me to notice my core had become stronger.
As a result, my back pain subsided. Also, it doesn’t take long to grasp the MOXIE concept of “mind, body, core.” Once I began to focus my energy on those three things, I began to see my body change.
Although it is a group fitness environment at MOXIE, you are encouraged to focus on your own personal goals and motivate yourself. You are forced to challenge yourself every time, but most of all it’s somehow still FUN! You will hear “yes you can,” and “your body loves this!”
I can’t get enough of Ride, and I love Barre! I still enjoy going for a run a couple of days a week, and it’s been amazing how much more endurance I have now. I’m sure it’s from the interval training I get from MOXIE Ride.
Regardless of your age, gender, if you are a runner, an athlete, or trying fitness for the first time, MOXIE has a fit for you. I love being a part of MOXIE!

I joined MOXIE in January. It was my New Year’s Resolution to get into better shape. I had no idea that one simple decision would change my outlook on fitness completely.
Within a few weeks of joining MOXIE, my mindset began to change. I became self-motivated, for the first time in my life, and actually became EAGER to workout. “Don’t quit, don’t stop” and “yes you can” have become my favorite phrases to hear and have become my inner mantra. These words echo in my life now at everything I do: whether it is a project at work or simply repeating these words to my students and even my own children.
The second change after joining MOXIE was significant difference in my lifestyle. I drink a lot less alcohol, eat healthier, and grocery shop smarter. For example, I use spaghetti squash instead of eating noodles for dinner. I also puree cauliflower instead of grits and sauté shrimp for a unique spin on shrimp and grits.
The third change I experienced by joining MOXIE is the change in my body. To me, the most important change I have experienced is the overall knowledge that I am getting better. I also sleep better at night and wake up feeling rested. By exercising, I also have a stress release and don’t feel as tense in my day-to-day life as I used to feel. The last change to my body I have experienced is my favorite: my clothes fit much better!
All in all, joining MOXIE has been the best decision I’ve made in a very long time. The high intensity cardio is never boring! The safe environment MOXIE provides makes me feel like a million dollars when I walk in the door and, more importantly, when I walk out. You are surrounded by others that have the same goals. In this judgment-free domain, we cheer each other on and high five each other. The instructors talk to me about my goals and how to achieve those goals. They check in on me and ask how my fitness goals are going. When I first joined MOXIE in January, I thought I was joining a fitness studio. I was wrong, I joined a family.
