This week’s guest blogger, Mandy Goss, shares her story.

Last September a few of my friends asked me to go with them to a Fusion class at MOXIE. I’ve never been a fan of exercise, but I decided to give it a try. My only goal was to lose weight. After the first class I felt totally defeated and didn’t want to go again, but my friends convinced me to keep trying.

Getting started was hard. I regularly left the studio feeling really disappointed with myself. I decided to focus on what I could do instead of what I couldn’t do, and committed to go to as many classes as possible. Results came quickly – I was losing weight. More importantly, I started to feel good. With every class I gained more ability and confidence. MOXIE gave me the encouragement I needed to push harder, to believe that I could do more.

Since joining MOXIE I’ve seen positive changes in every aspect of my life. I am stronger physically and mentally. My eating habits have completely changed. My relationships with others have improved. I deal with stress at work much better. I am happier because I feel good about myself and what I have been able to accomplish so far. I am challenged every time I go to class, but for the first time in my life I look forward to working out. I actually enjoy the process as much as the results. My new goal is simply to keep improving.

Thanks to the combination of MOXIE Ride, Fusion, Barre, Restore and the amazing instructors who are so inspiring, I continue to see improvement every day. I see it in myself and in so many others in class as well.

Since September I have lost over 40 pounds. Could I have done that without MOXIE? Probably, but I know that everything I gain from MOXIE surpasses weight loss. Overall, it’s much more than I could have achieved on my own.
